Talk about an unfortunate-ly named company!

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Replacing it with anything?

actually....

Saw it on Sunday, took it for a test ride and that was it.

Bank yesterday for the paperwork, and I'm picking it up this weekend. Plan to do plenty of riding if the Gov actually does shut down....  Evil

Going for the twin eh? Didn't have enough troubles lifting up that single when you keel over?

That's excellent, congrats.

BTW, my CRF-250X is finally street-legal.  It's not suitable for extended slab duty, but it's good enough to get from dirt road to dirt road via pavement.  So let me know the next time you're contemplating a dual-sport activity.  Unfortunately I'm away the weekend of the Shenandoah 500 - I've been looking forward to that event for a long time :-(

Thanks everyone, compelled is probably how my wife would describe it... all she could say was "promise me you won't go and buy stuff for it". I think I managed my best poker face...  Cool Grin

Meh, outside of the hero sections at last year's Shenny 500, and the occasional beat up trail I've never really been close to the GS's limits...

Sir! Surely you jest! Angry Such a capable vehicle of such illustrious heritage must surely be immune from such lowly faults!  laughingdp

We need to put together a group ( Ian? Dana? your kid and whoever wants to join) and do the Shenny 500 next year! I think I will eventually get a small DS / Enduro bike just for these times.

Wasn't a comment on the bikes capability - it was the weight. That 990s gonna be a good bit heavier to pick up when you fall in a mud puddle.
