That's a very good price for it.  It's the same model as the one I used to have.  I sold mine for $7500, with twice the miles.

Speaking of Triumph... I realized that I have a soft spot for sport tourers, and this is a gorgeous specimen.

IF it is my old bike...it seems to have been a posting made by my ex-wife who hasn't seen the bike in well over 2 years...it has been sitting since August of '08...it needs work, from atrophy if nothing else, and the host of machine is a little nervous around LEO types due to...well....lets just say, someone whom can walk and talk that lingo will generally put him in an uneasy mode...oh and the bike is actually an 01....that is...if this is actually my old bike.....feel free to dig and poke and give me feedback...

All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

« Reply #206 on: November 24, 2010, 11:12:52 PM »

Don't get me wrong now 'cause you know I have a soft spot for the 999, and a "R" would be especially nice, but an 1198 is just as fast, if not faster, and it turns.  The 1198 SP would be just as much as that zero mile. Wouldn't have the carbon bling but it'd be friendlier to own.  Just sayin'.......  Grin

Shoosh you!!

I'm sure the 1198 is faster than the R, and handles better out of the crate, but I bet that 999 could be set up to handle just as well with a little fiddling.  Also, the chassis on the 999 is SO much more comfy.

Post has been updated with the following:

"Unfortunately do not have pictures of the bike, as I am nowhere near the location it is stored in."

Hmmm  Undecided
