I'd like to put on a more aggressive front fender, and I've seen some great deals on ebay. Before i pull the trigger, i'd like to know which fender off what ducati SS models would fit my bike... if any? Also will it require modification, or is it a straight swap?

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, it's a 748 916 996 998 style of fender that fits Monsters

I don't know how your plastic thingies look like Grin
There are two sorts , straight ones and the other type
When you have the straight ones the gap between tyre and fender could be a Little to big (for the looks)
The other ones you can flip over and Will be fine
But it's a straight bolt on

should bolt on

If I'm not mistaken, from all the ones I've seen, the black ones are off-set (higher or lower depending on how they are mounted), and the white ones are straight.

Could be so , you can switch those black ones from left to right , the gab between tyre and fender is better than

look tat the black plastic strips around the lowers on the forks. some are yellowish clear and others are black. those are the mounts.

the newer bikes have the mounts as part of the lowers

Does anybody know if the Hypermotard 'fenders' will fit onto 1098 forks? The ones that just cover the fork slider.

From quick research the mounts look offset on the hyper and straight on the 1098, but I'd like to be sure

edit-sorry about the zombie thread, but i figured having lots of info bout fenders in one place is better

The mounts on the hypermotard are off set and the mounts on the 1098 are straight, the 1098 front mudguard fits alot of monsters, I've had one on an S2R and an S4r without any problems but the S4Rs is totally different in that it has one bolt in front and one bolt behind the bottom of the fork leg.

Hmmm, I wonder if the Hyper 'fenders' will fit with a longer bolt and a small shim of aluminum or similar tube through the top mount...

To clarify I am putting 1098 forks (courtesy of TAftonomos) onto my S2R and like the look of no fender but want protection for the sliders

Ok So i looked at my 695 Dark and I don't have white or black mounting clips on the bottom of the forks...I have dark grey.  Will a SBK fender still work?

Should still work.  If they are off-set, you can swap left to right for more clearance.
