I'm betting he'll still be wearing his Dainese suits w, Ducati on them.

And there's no Italian journalists around to report on it.

Can't wait for next season now.  But I wonder: Is Rossi getting slow now that he is over 30?  Does he still have the mojo?  As a long suffering Cubs fan, what will it be like rooting for a guy that has a chance at winning?  Rossi, Rossi I am not worthy  [bow_down] [bow_down]

He'd be in first or second in the standings if he hadn't busted his leg this year. He's a contender.

Rossi is nowhere near slow. You have to remember he's still better than most everyone on a broken leg. At 75% Rossi is better than 99% of the field.

I believe the stars aligned with his injury happening at the same time his contract was up. It was destiny for him to finish his career on a Ducati. I firmly believe he would be leading the championship right now and Lorenzo would have cracked and fallen a few times this year. Nothing in the past says anything different. Lorenzo looks great because he's benefiting from a bike Rossi pretty much developed. Rossi should have sat out longer.

Stoner won a championship because that bike has the best TC and the most power. As soon as the other bikes were even close to the speed he fell back and cracked. After a short stint at Honda I predict he will also be gone. He's not going to do anything on that Honda but hope for the top five and celebrate getting on the podium.

Bikes are not the same at the end of the year that they were at the beginning. We will see now if Lorenzo can develop a bike next year. I doubt it and by the end of next  year he will go the way of the Dodo just like Stoner, Biaggi, and Gibernau did.

This is where I think the departure of Furosawa is going hurt Yamaha is a big way. Especially when the switch over to 1000CC. Ducati and Honda have never had a problem with putting out power. The M1 was never designed to be the fastest bike. It's the best bike because it's the most stable. Just look at it when turning, that thing doesn't budge unlike the Ducati and Honda that bounce all over the place.

The rider that I would worry about right now is the Ben. He is the real deal and I don't think he will have a problem getting many podiums next year. Maybe even a win or two.

As for Rossi, remember the last time he was super motivated he ended Stoners career. Lorenzo will be another victim before it's all said and done.  I honestly think at this point in his career it must be difficult to stay motivated at times. He's won the last two championships and now with losing this year and losing the paddock to Lorenzo I believe he will be more than fired up.

Ducati is the perfect team for Rossi. He will win a championship or two with them.

Sure he does...he just doesn't win much anymore.   ;)

It'll be interesting to see if he can get back on the podium top step with Honda. I don't think his career is "ruined", but I do think Rossi is in his head a bit. I think he'll be a contender next year though.

I think you guys are confusing Stoner with Nicky. Last I checked Stoner is 3rd behind the dominating Lorenzo and the Spanish Turd. And the has a much faster bike. Stoner is plenty fast, just not faster than the other 2.

Not to get too technical...

being fast doesn't make you a racer.

Being slow doesn't either.  :P

true, but the way they were talking was like the guy completely stopped trying. Stoner will be scary on the Honda if they can field a bike that's as blazing fast as it is this year.
