When I was working for the Ducati dealer up here, we used to take the OEM slave to a Brake cylinder reconditioner
and he would resleave it for about $100 with a Stainless sleeve, with the amount of fine sand on the roads up here
OEM slaves would be lucky to last 12 to 18 months (mine died within 6 months) Pop in the refurbed unit, never see
them again! Easy!
It's certainly a cheaper option if the budget is a bit tight, I had one on my Monster.
Good to see you back Spider, is it just my imagination, or have you been away for a while?

or you could use a forum sponsor
I personally like the Evoluzione Slave Cylinders, well made and come with a bleed kit...
Quote
The Evoluzione Clutch Slave cylinder is an anodized billet assembly, featuring "x-ring" triple seals around the piston. The slave kit includes a new banjo bleeder bolt and a clutch bleeder cup. The piston size features a 20% reduction in effort for the clutch pull. The slave cylinder design allows it to mate to the surface of the engine with an additional o-ring to seal grime out of the clutch pushrod area. A ball bearing rests inside the bore of the slave cylinder minimizing the possibility damage caused by a spinning clutch pushrod. 10 year, unlimited mileage warranty against seal failure. Kit includes installation instructions and a simple bleeder kit.

Got mine before you were doing CIA.
Dannog put me on to ordering STM via NFI direct before they stopped doing it.
Much cheaper than buying from Frasers shop front.
From memory under $150 verses over $250.

Must admit I haven't tried any others. The feel is awesome and probably equivalent to EVR. The finish is great and the red anodizing of my STM parts hasn't faided one bit. I have other red anodized parts and they are shit by comparison. STM black anodizing on the other hand faids to a funny purple / black.
I think u want to know that not only r u getting an awesome clutch feel but a part that is going 2 look fantastic in years to come.
Just my $0.02 worth

Fair call, i have also used the Evoluzione Slave's on about 5 bikes so far now, and they also never fade or look worse for wear.. and have a 10 year guarantee against leakage.. + come with the little bleeder kit ...the EVR's are nicely made as well, and have used one of them on my 1198s, as well as one on my MTS1100, they also have a nice feel, and are a bit brighter coloured than the Evoluzione slave, all up, very nicely made both of them... anyway, discounts available as always to Monster Forum members..

You could try the tight arse method i did, spray paint it.
I used VHT disc brake caliper paint, stays on good.
And some stainless cap screws

STM is nice, the evoluzione stuff ozducati sells is very good quality gear as well. there's plenty of different brands, as long as you buy a name brand you will be better off than rebuilding the factory one, you get the bigger bore which offers a lighter action.

I've got the MPL tuning products easy pull slave. Had for over 4 years and so far has been excellent. Catch them on the web though their site is only in German. Send them an email and they do talk english.
