sorry desmoq, I can't quote on my bb and I meant my response to be directed at zooom, not you. I believe that he should have two left after this episode

No worries Grin

The board doesn't do so well on mobile devices...either BB or iPhone.

I doubt that anyone seriously thinks a rider would blow an engine (especially when there's a limit) just to secure pole. At least, I didn't read it that way.

Really?  I didn't take what Brian said to be accusatory at all.  Just saying that it was shitty luck for the others to have qualifying get shut down early due to having an engine bleed out all over the track.

yes...to have to red flag a session...especially the pole session sucks...having seen in person what they do...you know the best flying laps were going to be coming in the last 5 minutes..most of the riders seem to do that and it sucks that Jorge's motor let go and spoiled it all...I wasn't accusing him of sabotage at all....

as far as how many motors he has left...I would bet he is probably cracking into his 4th at this point for the race...but who knows...Kropotkin seems to have figured out where you can find that info buried somewhere, but it certainly wasn't made to be easily findable...nobody knows who is using what strategy and how with this whole gambit...I know I have read a few different ways people are supposedly applying their alotments...but, those are kept close to the hip in the garages it seems....

Wonder how many engines Rossi saved by breaking his leg?

Ok this is just bat sh*t crazy.  I had a close buddy break his leg "worse" than Rossi in the same area and it took him close to a year to be back to normal.  Six weeks later and Rossi is still right there....<snip>
Probably safe to assume Rossi was in better shape than you friend before the accident.  Grin

Rossi's leg should have enough titanium hardware in it now that once the soft tissue healed he was ready to go   [moto]

holy crap.  Shocked

That ride by Rossi was amazing. Almost a podium with a broken leg? Incredible.

Rossi:
"It was a great battle with Stoner, congratulations to him. If it happened the other way around he would surely have cried like he did after Laguna Seca [in 2008], but this is racing. I'm happy because he was smiling at the end."

Dammit, now I gotta wait until the afternoon broadcast to see the end . . . that is if they continued into the next show.  That red flag extended the broadcast and cut my recording.

Funny how at the end of the 15th lap someone messed up the placement cards.  That is unless of course Rossi can now shapeshift into the likeness of other riders, which I wouldn't put it past him.

always pad live (race) broadcasts. i give f1 an extra 30 minutes (regulations limit the length of a race to two hours). i'm not sure how i would pad a motogp race since i watch them uninterrupted on motogp.com.

that's a speed thing. didn't see that on the world broadcast.

I don't think I've ever seen Pedrosa smile quite that large. Congrats to him he raced very well.

I was surprised to see Lorenzo be that composed and actually settle for second. Maybe he's growing up?

OMG ROSSI! Hell yeah that was awesome. I can't wait to see him at 100% on a Duc next year.

Any of you recon that Stoner is already making up excuses for next year's Honda?

Fun to watch Stoner and Rossi battle it out for 3rd.   waytogo

So at the current pace, we're going to have about 10 healthy riders on the grid by the end of the season.

Yea I figured it's the Speed HD US broadcast, funny stuff.  Good call on the pad as well, I'll do that next time.
