The difference between Spies (4th) to Dovi (10th) and Edwards (13th) is not much different than the gap from Spies (4th) to Hayden (3rd).
Four interesting things there:
Pedro is fast. (he wants to keep his Repsol ride)
Lorenzo is struggling a bit.
Rossi is the GOAT.
Spies on pace at a new track.

first time here, but it's a tight, ama-like track.

It's good to see DeAngelis back as well. Hopefully, he can stay away from other riders (and the asphalt). Next up . . . getting Elias back to GP. I don't know why I feel so bad for those two guys. They were doing well last year in the standings when it became apparent they were going to lose their rides.

not that that's not totally great... but isn't it almost expected at this point? dude has no problem with never having seen a place before. somehow.

Maybe I'm just being nostalgic and have forgotten how disgusted I was with him last year. I really liked him at the beginning of last season.

Ok this is just bat sh*t crazy. I had a close buddy break his leg "worse" than Rossi in the same area and it took him close to a year to be back to normal. Six weeks later and Rossi is still right there, jesus that guy is amazing. Personally no matter what happens, I can't wait for sunday.

dry session...I guess the rain has held off for now...and looking at the way Nicky fell back in times...I am guessing he is trying to find that front/rear balance again from his commentary about yesterdays sessions...

what a cruddy way to insure your pole position...
"The session was red flagged with 25 minutes remaining as Lorenzo’s M1 started to spill oil, and flames then began to pour out of the side of the Spaniard’s bike as he approached turn one before he managed to pull off the track. Following behind Spies (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) fell in the split oil, as did De Puniet (LCR Honda) and the Frenchman collided with Spies’ stationary bike as he slid off.
De Puniet went for X-rays on his right leg at the Clinica Mobile which confirmed no breaks, and he will be hopeful of taking his seventh spot on the grid..."

I wonder how many engines Lorenzo has left?

Ahh yes, because it makes so much sense to sacrifice one of your six engines to ensure a pole when you're leading the championship by over two races worth of points. Especially when the riders behind you have absolutely no bearing in the championship. We should think a little before we go accusing someone of pulling a Schumaker.

Just wondering whether that's going to play into the championship. I really have no idea how many he has left.
