good luck getting into corners with that thing.  I'll bet the rear is at least a 260 and it's 6 feet long.  If they build it to compete with the Vmax it will fail - limited market and costly at that.  Now, if they refine it and place it against the Triumph Rocket, America or Speedmaster type bikes then maybe they are onto something. The seating is very different on these bikes than on a Harley cruiser (Electra Glide, Road Glide).  It's starting to grow on me but that exhaust is hideous and I'm scared to ask about the price points.

I heard the tire was a 240....  still will handle well if set up correctly.  Ducati can do it!

read that they are creating a special tire with a more triangular profile to allow the wider tire and not have it affect the ability to turn.

as far as wheelbase.. we'll see, remember when they used the smaller rider to throw off the scale of the MTS spy shots. maybe someone could take that side shot and try to get a rough estimate on the WB.

the exhaust is usually the first thing changed, so as long as it meets EPA and noise restrictions, it doesnt matter how it looks, it won't stay on long past the inspections.

pricing... yeah that's an issue. but it they put in that much tech on the MTS and kept it below 20k maybe if they go lowtech on this one they can keep it below 15k.

i can't really see that rear and seating as stock. there's got to be some more to the production model than that cause passengers will fall of the back.

special tire?   bang head  made by Termi I bet  laughingdp
overall it looks like fun but aesthetically, at least for now, it's a miss-match for me.  the exhaust is always the first thing most of us change but I'm scared to ask on pricing for that as well.  I would hope that for the price they expect to fetch it flows better than these spy shots.  only time will tell.

that exhaust would be horrible, in order to change the belts you would have to remove teh headers compltely just to get to them or even just check them.  bad design.

My thoughts, to many mules, every spy shot shows something different. I think once unveiled it is going to quite a bit different from the spy shots. But at a minimum, drop dead Ducati Sexy...

It looks like Ducati has a new name for the musclebike: Diavel

"It’s been called the ‘Vyper’, ‘Mega Monster’ and ‘Project 0803’ but Ducati’s new muscle bike will be called ‘Diavel’ "

Italian derivate of "devil".

I've been using the "Desmo Devil" name for my Ducati powered bikes since 2004 to describe my muscle cruiser creations.  At least most of my customers now can affirm that they were years ahead of the marketplace before Ducati got into the swing of things.  One customer called this morning with sn#2 and said he is glad to be riding what appears to be the father of the new "Ducati Diavel".  He might buy one -- but he will never sell #2!

.... and what do you do Mark?

I know you're way ahead and will build an even more impressive desmo creation Cool
