I'm noticing that the south florida section of this board is pretty dead.

*yells* Is there anyone out there...there........there.......!?

I wouldn't mind meeting a fellow monster owner. Grand total, I've seen two others on the road: what looked like a 695 (only saw him briefly at a light near pembroke pines), and another 696 (at the ducati dealership in miami)

I'm on here.  Yeah, nobody is ever online.  The online presence is pretty limited from here.

I'm online most of the day. I try to keep up with this section, but like you said, it's pretty dead. I rarely ride with this heat, but I'm always willing to meet up as long as it doesn't require riding down to Miami.

Yeah, it's too bad. Some of the other sections have people running organized rides and such. Would be cool to see a pack-o-monsters out on the sofla roads.

I'm going to keep an eye on this section, and maybe post about local events/rides I see. Perhaps some people will come out of the woodworks.

I've been riding a lot lately, even in the heat. It's not so bad if you dress for it... I got one of those 'moisture wicking' shirts that I wear under my jacket - it makes a huge difference.

There's a "bike" night every Tuesday organized by the local Ducati club. I try to make that at least once a month. It's in Ft' Lauderdale and usually there are 3 distinct groups (vintage guys, Chris Boy's crew and Ducati Forza). Chris' crew are usually the guys that are racing almost every weekend. Ducati Forza is the dealer, in other words they sent a representative usually George Mayer, to hang out. The vintage people tend to be the older guys that rarely ride to the event. You also have Guido from Shift-Tech that hangs out there every week. Forza also organizes rides on the weekends. Last time I went, they rode down to lunch in Key Largo.

I'm considering maybe organizing a group to drive up to Barber for the vintage weekend in October.

I haven't hit the bike night in a few weeks. Vicki should be back from Laguna with some stories. I'm up for the bike night as well.

Count me in!

Duccarlos, where/when exactly is the bike night in fort lauderdale? Would you be up for meeting up beforehand?

Latinbalar, I was thinking we could meet at the gas station at the NW corner of Nova Dr (24th St) and University... I *think* it's a Chevron, but it's on the northwest side for sure. It's just a quick jump onto 595 and anywhere in fort lauderdale from there.

PS. I ride slow Smiley

PPS. By 'slow' i mean: roughly 10 over, cruising speed Smiley

Panaretto Pizza
1331 SE 17th St
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

Usually starts at 7 and most are there by 8. I've hung out until around 10.

I can meet up with you guys if you wish. I ride down from Boca by way of I95 and generally take Davie to cross over. I can probably head down to University and 595.
