Last Saturday I borrowed the sons Mazda Astina 323 Twincam well at least it was red  Grin,  2 off 400 watt amps and cross overs, 12’sub and numerous speakers, And quicker than the 4by.  :'(

Loaded up the  Cook a packet of jelly babies and a memory stick full of tunes,
for a run up the Putty road to Broke and then across to Denman and  then continued along the XXXXXX Vally way to Rylstone  for lunch at the pub  then back on the Mudgee road to Lithgow  and back the along Bells line.

700klm door to door 11 hrs. With a coffee at Broke and about half an hour lunch at Rylstone and a refuel at Lithgow.
At speed far greater than I would have gone on the bike, except for a few corners. Roll Eyes

The road is now sealed all the way, No dirt, but a few pot holed sections and bad surface  not far after the  half way servo.
Few bikes out there mainly Beemmrs doing their Charley and Ewan impersonations.
Rylstone is a great place to stop, has 2 pubs a few cafes had lunch at the Globe hotel nice big beer garden and good food, and nice and handy to the gun shop next door, if you need to top up on ammo laughingdp
No  Police all day.
Saw a couple of wallabies on the the Putty road, actually on the road at about 10.30 am ,not far after the burnt down half way house.

Comment, from the Cook on the XXXX Way this car has  never seen so many corners  ,(oh and slow down.)

Not a bad day out long one though. Would be well worth the effort to do it on a Bike.
And those looking for some where to take Family or partner/Lover/ or those having some sort of an affair. Kiss
Would be good combined with over nighter piss up in the Hunter.
But don’t tell them you dragged them all the way up there just so you can drive back the XXXXXX Valley way.
The penny dropped with the cook when she saw all the bikes at Rylstone.

Oh  And now I know why Betty can’t always get out for a ride  He has been moonlighting see photo below. laughingdp laughingdp

Yep it certainly is a nice place to be.
You do remember we have spoken about this road before but not mentioned
the name for paranoid fears of it becoming over policed.

Yes, well that stands to reason, given that you can't really be in two places at once.

Don't think it will be in business long ... still struggling with the cooking side of things:
. open can
. empty contents into bowl
. nuke until edible

Still waiting for the edible part.

Ah the Rylstone Globe hotel. Not a bad place to stay and yes they are bike friendly.

Anyone up for an overnighter some time when it gets warmer?

An overnight run would be great.
I'm sure we can get a little further a-field than that.
Just bought a Motorcycle atlas so I'm studying roads and places.

I'm not sure if Andy likes us anymore, he hasn't spoken to any of us in ages.
Does anyone know if his bike is back on the road, there was a lot of hassles getting sprockets etc...
