i was going to give a serious answer, but i decided not to geek out on this once and remind you that the lbs/gal is for pure water. if there's other stuff dissolved in it the amt goes up. therefore a 5 gal bucket of joint compound and water would be very different.



but i decided not to do that. esp since mrI didnt' go that direction.

i would have liked a serious answer...
as it is, i guess i dragged about 80 gallons of old horse hair plaster down the stairs yesterday.

i found it. a dry gallon is 48.5 Lbs
so x 16 buckets = 776 Lbs

and yeah, i am way out of shape these days. you should have seen me humping the gypsum board (two at a time) back up the stairs last week....talk about comedy :P
