Okay, let's do a custom tail section.  Wanna start with a rear fairing that looks like the rider just farted out a comet?

I hate it as well. Non-functional...and ugly.

It's on its way to becoming a great track bike.  Nothing a stock tank and set of track body work can't fix!

I like most of his other work, he has his vision of how to customize bikes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. At least this one seems to get either an "I love it" or "I hate it" reaction, so he is on to something, not just the same set of ideas floating around on how to make a custom. I'd like to see it in person. waytogo

I was thinking exactly the same thing.  Put different bodywork and tank on it, and that thing would rock Smiley.

All this talk of function on a Ducati Monster forum?  Wink

The tail section is actually an exhaust box

I like it, I think it looks neat with somebody on it

Overall i'm not a big fan of the end result. I do however have an appreciation for the amount of time spend making those body parts. It looks like ALOT of time was spent hand shaping the panels, etc.

Functional? Hell no! Artistic Expression, F*&% Yeah!

I think it looks interesting on it's own, but I don't really care for it. It does look somewhat better in the picture of it being ridden though, for some reason.

I actually like the futuristic look and love the lines of the tank. I feel like its the bike Major Tom would have bought if he'd made it back to earth.

i'm not a fan of the paul smart front fairing. it would probably sever your pumpkin off if you're remotely tucked.
