Are any of you planning to attend the AMA races at VIR?

If you've never been to VIR, it is a world class facility.  You can walk around the pits and meet all the riders without having a special pit pass.  There are lots of activities besides the races too and it is a family friendly track.

Does anyone know if Ducati NA will have their rigs there?  They normally have the demo truck and a hospitality truck, but with the budget cuts I'm wondering what prescence DNA will have.  Of course the hospitality truck usually has special parking for our Ducs.

I know a lot of you on here aren't huge Pegram fans, but he is very approachable at VIR and it's always cool to watch his crew working on his bikes.

So, who's going and does anyone know what DNA will be bringing?

I sure hope that's not right, but I expect it is.  I write the VIR guys and they said they don't have a commitment from DNA yet.  Doesn't sound too good.

Is anyone from here planning on attending?   Undecided

When I spoke to randy, the guy that organizes the trucks, he aid that they were not going to most AMA races this year. The laid off most of the truck guys this year.

The track is less than an hour from my house, so I'm pretty fortunate in that point.  I was hoping DNA would have the demo truck and hospitality truck there, but it doesn't sound like it.  One of the guys from the track sent me a note saying they didn't have anything firmed up with DNA for this year, so that makes it even more doubtful.

I was hoping to be able to park in the Duc corral since this is my first year with a Duc.  I probably won't be able to ride down anyway since I'm still recovering from surgery and can barely stand riding in a car at this point.  Oh well, as long as I get to attend and see the races I'll be happy.  The WERA guys are there this weekend and Greg White will be riding a Ducati.  I might try to swing by and see some WERA action.

Even without DNA attending, I hope some forum members will be able to attend.  VIR is a great track to watch the AMA guys!   popcorn
