OK my son owns a SV650 and he is trying to get the SV crowd interested in a ride on the 22 Aug 10.

Simple loop, Glorious, Mt Mee and back via the dams. 0900 departure from the BP @ Blacksoil (on the side heading west).

Who's interested?

For those not in the know Loony has a thing with the Plod patrolling the Glorious side of town and doesn't want to tempt fate, or perhaps there is another more sinister and mysterious reason he doesn't want to ride some of the best roads in the world?

Even down here in Victoria we advertise our rides NFL (not for Loony).

It's the only way to get people to turn up!

OK usual SEQLD turnout - Loony, my neighbour, my son & me.

So change of plan - head South instead.

Meet 0830 @ Yamanto Macca's for 0900 departure. Head south into Boonah then on to Rathdowney. Do a counter clockwise loop over Mt Lindsay back to Rathdowney via Lions Rd. Quick lunch at the Pub and back to Ippy.

Plenty of fuel stops for the SV and 4V Duc.

OK awesome day with normal turnout from the DucatiMonster crowd and a similarly disappointing turnout from the SV DownUnder mob - in both cases a big fat ZERO.

Despite all that we had a blast with Mt Lindsay and Lions Rd. and a well deserved ale at the Rathdowney pub.

Warm, sunny, dry and calm - absolute gorgeous day.

Well, I even took out the old AirHead and still smoked them up Mt Lindsay (despite leaving half the centre stand on the mountain).

No tickets - No tears - all in all a nice day out on the bike.

In the end it was me on the Airhead, Tom on his SV and Craig on his V-Strom (still no new chain!).  Huge crowd at the Rathdowney Pub including a two valve Monster. Boonah was awash with bikes as was Yamanto - not unusual given the SuperBikes were on. Interestingly didn't see a  Police or any vans all day, still played it safe most of the time.

You missed a good ride, and for what.............money  vomit
