LT Snyder has a feature article in this month's issue of Motorcycle Concumer News ( MCN ).

A very interesting 4 page article w, text and photos by LT Snyder.

Topics range from :

The Rationale
Why People Sell and Trade
Building a Collection
The Strategy
To Modify or Not to Modify
Keep a Stable Up and Running
The Legacy
Security
The Influence of a Collector

I found the Article to be very captivating and filled w, good valuable information if one were so inclined to start a collection.

The one area I found to be at odds with was his statement about having no intentions of selling any of his collection in the near future ?

He says that "  Rather than sell off my bikes , I have been exploring a more long-lasting legacy for my prized possessions."

Didn't he just have about 10 or so bikes advertised for sale ? :D

May be there are 2  LT Snyders in their 40s that collect Ducatis  ?

Maybe his situation changed again.  I hope so for his sake.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

What pray tell was his situation ?

All sounded good in the Article .

Even sounded like he was still thinking of expanding on his collection as he got older.

Or he realized no one is dumb enough to spend $7500 on a 12 year old ST2 (or the like) and decided to keep them.  [laugh]

But yea, prolly wrote the article a while back...

LT states in his Article that he doesn't buy NEW, that he generally buys 2 year old bikes after the origianl owner has taken the big depreciation hit.

He has photos of a Ducati 1098 S which hasn't been around that long for LT to buy a 2 year old model and have written this Article a few years ago.
