I'm new here so forgive me, but, do you intend to keep the bike like that or will you correct that? I'm hoping the latter Smiley

If i remember right he did that mod early this summer, no Raux?

Something tells me hes getting used to it,  sort of like those home owners who start a reno then live with ongoing renos the rest of their life  laughingdp

Maybe this summer some company will come out with a shorter bracket and that will fix things  Vino!

The goal

The reason I'm not changing the bracket now, is that I don't want to spend the money on a shorter bracket that I will end up not using eventually. This was very inexpensive, same as the light.

Metaltech M1100s rearsets in the titanium/red color.  supposedly passesnger peg options are coming hence the extra mount points.  overall really impressed with the quality and the amount of adjustment range.

Really nice!

One gripe about my Woodcraft rearsets, the brake side does not have enough adjustment for brake lever position. Even when adjusted to the maximum my foot will still ride the brake. I am forced to kick my toe out to the side or ride the brake.

Looks like yours are more comfortable in this regard.

put the ball of your foot on the pegs, not the instep.

When I'm riding hard I always do, but if I'm on the slab or around town I'll kick the toe out...

Being 2.5" higher than stock, riding with the ball on the peg can get fairly uncomfortable for any type of extended time.

I know, I'm being a whiny pregnant dog..

Did I not admit to being a whiny pregnant dog!!

Went out for the first ride this season. it was make the beast with two backsING GREAT. My 696 is the greatest hooligan machine ever created.

The exhaust is so damn loud people roll up their windows and plug their ears when I ride next to them.

Thought I'd breathe some life into this thread. Ordered a set of the black/red Metal Tech rearsets, along with a set of black folding pegs, from the very responsive and friendly folks at Commonwealth. There's only one picture I can find - anywhere - of the black / red Metal Tech rearset, and it isn't even mounted on the bike...

My 696 is red with the black frame, and I'll post some pics once they're installed. I think they're going to look awesome.

Nice, looking forward to the photos.

The metal tech pieces look like quality stuff.

A couple guys on here have them, never heard any complaints.

What is your solution for the rear brake light, or does metal tech have a mount for the pressure switch?

The Metaltech / Metal-Tech / Metal Tech (heh) rearsets appear to have provisions for the pressure switch. If they don't, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Smiley
