Get the ark out...
«

Ok, things are just getting silly. On my way to work I heard that:
Canal road was closed
Rockcreek pkwy and beach drive closed- due to swift water resuces
Lawyers road closed due to the same
Several feeder roads going to 267 were closed and flooded
River road was getting bad
Mass ave in MOGO was flooded and closed
A number of lanes lost of the multi lane roads due to standing water....
- Everyone got their water wings for the trip home? There's supposed to be more heavy rain later today.

OH! arK. I thought we were welding something (arc) and I got a little tingly.
I got a call yesterday from my best friend saying that he had driven over my hose, ripped the spigot off the side of my house and that water was gushing everywhere.
I'm done with flooding.

At least you aren't zooom... A bit ago his area was redoing the water supply in the hoods. So there where temp lines in the gutters all over the place - with nice, easy to run over check valve handles sticking up at regular intervals. It was zooms moving day and one of the helpers ran his truck over the one right in front of zooms place, busting the handle off and treating us to a 30' tall jet of water.

In Baltimore that's called a block party
My tenant knocked a downspout off my place with a moving truck the day he moved in. Great first impression. Maybe my house needs bumpers....

anyways...the ScoobyTruck did well getting through the swaths of rivering down River Rd this morning...this afternoon shall be interesting indeed!

I had to make a detour as a tree came down just in front of the Scooby on Decarlia...backed it up and used Mass Ave to get downtown. Right hand lane was sketchy almost the entire way in...I'm hoping it lets up enough to drain off a bit. The ride home will definitely be interesting.

I'm tempted to drive out to the boat to check on rainwater leaks. I'm obsessed with rainwater leaks. They really irk me. Probably shouldn't have left one of the hatches a little open...

My basement (partially) flooded, my roof is leaking into my bedroom and more rain on the way.
Oh and in my 'hood those "temporary" water pipes are still all over the place. Haven't seen anyone working on the mains in a few weeks. Better finish before the first freeze. The other great thing is now the roads all around me have those quick-fix paving all over. Bumpy bumpy.

Oh crap man! Get a tarp up there proto. A flooded house sucks big time.

Boots, rain pants, gloves... my current jacket sucks and managed to get my stomach wet!!!
Can't wait to get my Scorpion Commander jacket, and I'm also thinking of buying another pair of TCX Jupiter Boots, I love them!
