There's another thread that has larger versions of that photo and some concept sketches. You can't tell so well from taht small photo - but there the bike is missing some body work and has "camouflage" tape and bits stuck on it. So yeah, it's a bit fugly there, but it's a bit like saying a 748 without it's fairings and some gaffers tape stuck on is fugly... it's not the final condition.
But, who knows. It might end up a bit fugly... The beak on the new multis on the Fugly side - but does taht stop me from wanting one after riding it... Hell no.

Well I have to admit that the spy photos of the new Multi were really FUGLY. It looked like an ardvark, but the finished product came out much nicer. We shall see about this one. do you think its supposed to replace the S4 monster?

I think Motocreations should sue and no it doesn't replace S4; the Streetfighter did.

Well it did sort of. The street fighter is a naked superbike not a Monster with a superbike motor. Although the Monster has the 888 frame or used to. I'm kind of looking for a monster with a big engine.

I would think that within a year, Ducati will mate the Testastretta 11 to the current line. There is definately a market for mass power monsters. That new bike they are working on is not going to appeal to most of the monster riders or the superbike riders either.

only sort of FUGLY? the headlight set up alone is enough to push it over the top and full into the full FUGLY category

We see this all the time here in Detroit. I had to pass by the HQ's for Ford's engineering center and I always would see future products with the "camo" tape or added body panels so they would throw off spy photo-ops. I would guess this is the same thing. To me it looks like the radiator is on sideways from the pic, but could just be the angle.

Unless they seriously clean this up it will FLOP no matter how well it stacks against the Vmax (just my opinion). That exhaust makes me want to The market is running away from these bikes and into sport touring. Why would Ducati do this? Prices for similar bikes - open to interpretation - start at $20k or so. Very small market with even smaller sales lately.
