I posted the following in the DMF Bicycle thread about a week ago, and it was suggested that I add it here:

"Hoping for a little trip planning help. I'll be in Greeley Co for a week and a half. I'm taking the MTB and was wondering what the most scenic ride within a few hours of Loveland would be. I  have hiked out there enough to understand that the thin air will slow me down, but I'd like a ride with tremendous views. Anybody with FHE?"

I've finalized my plans now, and will make it out to Greeley late Sunday.  Anytime from about Wednesday until Sept 10th, I'll be open to hit trails within an couple of hours drive of Loveland.  Any local ride guides available would be appreciated!!! waytogo

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Well I got out and rode Hall Ranch on Thursday.  Great time, fun trail.  My next ride will be tomorrow morning.  I haven't picked a trail yet.  I'll be hitting the trail first thing in the morning though.  Any takers?

Stella and I may be players.

Do you have a destination in mind?

I don't have anything in mind yet.  Any suggestions?  I'm pretty flexible.  As long is it is a good local trail, count me in.

Anybody have experience on Old Flowers Road/Buckhorn Canyon???  32 miles sounds like a great way to spend Labor Day!  Of course, it may well be too much for a flatlander like me.  I'm willing to give an epic ride a shot though!!!

That. Looks. SO. Cool!!!

I'm detailing a friend's car in the a.m.  Doing that ride is not something to do midday when it's going to be...90?   Maybe I'll send Randimus that way in the a.m. OR we meet you for a late start/cool finish....

We'll talk about it on our end and get back with you!

Randimus here.

according to a post in this thread: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=636635 , there is over 4,000ft of elevation gain on that ride.  Shocked

It may be too much.  Of course we could always turn around and go back if it got to be too bad.  I was counting on the fact that it was mostly fire roads to moderate the effects of any elevation gains.

All that being said, I am open to about anything.  I just want to make certain that I get in a good ride.  Fun being the biggest thing.  Hall Ranch was an absolute blast.  I put in about 16 miles by the time I was done there.  I'm wide open to suggestions.
