Hi, anyone Else suffering with premature front tyre wear on there M1100, i mean iv done 1600 miles on my bt016 and it's starting to look very worn on the sides, i think il be lucky to see 2500 miles out of it. I'm running standard suspension settings and the correct tyre psi. In the past i would get at least 4000 plus on a GSXR Thou, or R1 doing the same sort of riding.
So just wondered if any one had the same problem ?

I have 3K miles on my front, and it's got plenty of tread left.

I don't ride hard, but do run mainly on twisties (rather than freeways).

Have you been checking the air weekly?  I've been maintaining about 36 in the front and 34 in the rear tire and have had no problems. >5000 on the tires now.  They're both looking good still!

My BT16s lasted 6800kms (4250 miles) by which time both the front and back were totally rat-cactus.  Front was absolutely scrubbed to buggery on both sides and the back revealed its steel belt.  Shoulda changed em at 6000kms, but I wanted to see just how far I could wring out of em.  Pressures checked before every ride, 34/34.

I had the BT016 for 3800 miles on my bike. I was extremely unhappy with the tire (the OEM BT016 that comes with the bike is different to the Bridgestone that you can buy off the shelf, so I learned). However, I am now having the Micheline Pure installed and the difference is like day and night. So, even if there is still some thread on the BT016, personally, I would bin it and get the Pure installed (even far better than the Pirelli Diablo Rosso that is installed on the M796 of my wife; and way better than the PilotPower 2CT that I'm used to ride).

Intresting reading, it's nice to see what psi you guys are running, iv been sticking to the manuals psi recommendations which are 32 front and 35 rear.
Think il try pilot powers 2ct's next.

Anyone else getting marks on their driveway from the 1100 front tire?  It's really starting to annoy me (and my landlord)... can't seem to wash them off either  Lips Sealed
