Last weekend I took a fast run down-and-up Hwy 23 in Arkansas - The Pig Trail, as it is known - with a group of cars. The group consisted of a 500hp Audi S4, 400hp STI, 380hp VW Jetta, 280hp Beetle, and two Porsches (a 944 and 914, both modded) all on R-Comp rubber. I was on my 620 and my buddy was alongside on his ZZR1200.

During the run back up, the Jetta and S4 lead with the 944 third in line and my buddy and I on our bikes behind him. The Jetta and S4 pulled away pretty quickly, and with two bikes nipping at his heels the 944 driver got a little too overzealous. This video is from inside the 944. What you don't see is how much speed I had coming around that bend that I had to scrub off in order to avoid him! First time for me balancing traction between a hard cornering manouver and panic braking, I think I did pretty well. Luckily I had built in some following distance through the curves for just such an occasion!

Near as we can tell he went in hot, downshifted mid-turn and didn't get the revs matched right. No gravel on the road.

He says "I thought I'd take up the rear". Thus was just his way of falling to the back of the pack  laughingdp

LOL Yeah I thought that was pretty funny. He's an older guy, a Porsche fanatic, he's spun more times than I'm sure he can remember. Stayed cool as a cucumber.  coffee

oh you can tell that you were moving at a good speed right when you came around the corner - then you had to dump that speed and slow down pretty quickly - nice job!  waytogo

Kudos for keeping your head and eyes up!  waytogo waytogo

Though, I must say that it would have looked pretty bada$$ from that dash cam to see you do an Evil Kenevil and use the sloped hood of that 944 as a ramp for an awesome jump over the car!!

Nice! We drive out there with our car club at least once a year to play... this year I decided to ride the Duc and didn't regret it one bit! 850 miles of pure fun!  [moto]

Sure - I watched your clip about 4 times - you had to slow down fast! I'm pretty sure if it had been me, the words OOHHHH Shiiiii.... would have been visible through my visor!!  cheeky

Count me in next time! I live about an hour and a half north. There are some wicked curves on that road.
