I've become an old man on an old man's bike

WWW
« on: September 01, 2010, 11:17:39 PM »

It's a little late in the year but I thought after a long cold winter we might resuscitate this for spring 2010.
Should we still go to Bar Italia, someone with unregistered bikes suggested once a place further up the road.
Don't know it's name but I know it used to be a servo, parking is much easier.

There was also suggestion that we go to Road Warriors who know run a pizza oven but I think they usually close about 8pm
which has been our normal meeting time.

So who's up for a gathering next week?

There was also suggestion that we go to Road Warriors who know run a pizza oven but I think they usually close about 8pm

Just a bit of info on this one ... Cafe Mount White is open for pizza on Friday and Saturday nights. The Boss was talking to the girls there a couple of weeks ago and they do the pizza thing from 6-8pm .... but they said if people are there they will stay open beyond that. Also helps if they know people are coming. Apparently they have people (bikers) bringing their families along to see where they 'hang out'. They are waiting to see how things go as to what hours they will run through summer.

There is obviously an argument for leaving this until daylight savings ... to enjoy the road ... and as it stands we wouldn't be able to make it a Thursday night.

So maybe once daylight savings kicks in we could take another look at this one ... Friday evening Pacific Highway traffic is fun for no-one, so maybe a Saturday twilight ride ... bring the family - what do you think?

Thanks Betty, I know there is a rather large of riders that go up there on a Thursday night every few weeks or so.
But then they also travel in groups of 40-50 + sometimes close to double that.
So I'm guessing they stay open for the business, not sure if they stay open for 10 people though.

I'd say yes that might be a case for daylight savings and maybe a Saturday.

So should I make a booking if they take them for maybe 8-10 people?

Thanks Cakeman that's a generouse offer. Cheesy
But 10 or monsters en mass might scare of your regular customers.
And if Jukie shows up that will realy lower the standard of the place.  Kiss (I will pay for that remark) cheeky

Oh did you say cakes drool whats on the menu coffee
