Yo all - I think it may be a case of the dogs bark is worse than its bite - lots of thunder about on the Northern beaches but I think it will clear. I'm still good to go.

I've just driven home from St Ives and the threatening clouds produced masses of rain but it now all looks like it's blown away.
There's still a few good hours until we head out anyways.

Pouring at Brookvale but sun was out and shining by the time I got to Pyrmont - cracker of an afternoon to be honest.
Should be an okay night.

We had biblically epic thunder, lighting and even small hail here in Mona Vale an hour ago, but the sun's out now...

See you all around 8!

My pocket weather must lie then cause it shows most storms have past through.
Hope I don't get too wet, I'll melt you know.

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« Reply #160 on: December 16, 2010, 12:43:52 AM »

Since we're doing weather reports, from the office I see:
. cloud (but not nasty) to the north
. blue skies above
. the sun brightly glowing over Leichhardt way
. clear skies growing from the south

... although not visible from here I believe there are two soft DOMs on the northern beaches.

Should add that unless the Boss is here soon, we will be late.

I would like to formally retract the above.

... but perhaps it served as motivation cheeky well done guys applause

Thanks to everyone who turned up (and it was quite a turnout). Perhaps this should be the format for 2011 ... every week seems to be too much of a commitment. But every month (or maybe two) could see reasonable numbers.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Twas a nice night and many thanks to that wonderful (what a guy) Dez for his " peace offering" slice of pavlova. The snake bite has subsided btw and my specialist sais i should make a complete recovery... waytogo   And to all concerned, Brian W actually put his bike away last night without cleaning it so the therapy sessions must be working.... Grin  On a slightly more serious note, it was a nice relaxing night with good company, catch you all soon.
