"It’s the Black Falcon, the third in a planned run of ten concept bikes from Falcon Motorcycles. And like its predecessors, the Bullet and the Kestrel, it blurs the boundaries between motorcycling, industrial design and sculpture."

Thought you guys might enjoy this one. This is hanging at a friends garage. It is part of motorcycle history. It's a 1966 Yamaha TD1 250cc track bike that actually raced in the 1966 Grand Prix. Needs a couple of small parts to be ride-able but it does run! I drool every time I go over there and see this thing just casually hanging from the ceiling next some of his other collector bikes.

As ridiculous as it may be, I'd still want to take it for a ride!

Nice find! pinna nera = black fin probably refers to the rear sub-frame made of bare carbon fibre. wonder how long you can sit on it

Laverda 750S (1997 - 2002)
Recently saw one on eBay go unwanted. Very sexy bike, I remember how excited I was when I first saw one in a dealership back in Italy.
And here's another bike that didn't do as well as it should have: Benelli Tornado 900. They were even in SBK for a year or two, but didn't do much. I like the looks of the extractor fans for the radator under the seat
Time & money, and they will all be in my garage!
