It saves the wear and tear on my crosscuts and chainsaws plus its better for the environment! Its so sharp, all I have to do is point it at a tree and it falls down into split, dry 16" pieces.  I've got to get cracking on the woodpile, we're supposed to have a killing frost Wednesday and I have about 2/3 of my wood split. I burn about 6-8 full cords a winter. I actually did chop through a 2 X 4 with it. Still shaved after I was done. |

A killing frost on Weds?? Seriously? It's only about 105 today and yesterday we tied the 1980 record for the most 100+ degree days in a year. Today we break it.  Now what were you saying about this thing called a frost and a wood pile? |

I'll take the frost and woodpile anytime over 100+ weather - we actually had a couple days in the 100's here. 102 in the summer and -25 in the winter - and they call it the temperate zone.

Hi people's,
Looking for advice, never bought a folding knife before. I'm looking for a really nice quality folding knife that looks like the kind your Grandad would have had, something that looks kinda old, classy but great quality and holds a really good edge.
I've checked though most of the links on this thread and found loads of really nice tacticals but nothing that fits the above description, any ideas?
