if they make this it will compete nicely with the monster 1100 and i dare to say if it comes in around 10k it should also compete nicely with the monster 796.

i know i like the 796, but if the brutale 3 cylinder is around the same price with abs with oly a slight premium i would highly consider it a nice step.

I understand the symbolic nature of the triple exhaust given the bike, but think it looks retarded.

It's not awful and I certainly don't mean to insult anyone who likes it or (in this case) has done something similar, but my opinion is strictly regarding the pictured Bratale. Our 675 looks and sounds awesome with it's triple exhaust.

Reminds me of the "ray gun" exhaust on the BSA Rocket 3

it's official, the ugliest exhaust to date. the bike does appeal to me though.  wonder if I can buy $3k termis for it.  Evil

hmm now that you mention it the triple exhaust is a bit strange looking in that size and configuration, maybe if they changed the size of the tips or something it could look better or do the f-4 type accordian exhaust and put it under the seat to clean it up and make it different than the brutale.

Is it just me or does it remind anyone else of the Suzi Gladius shapewise??  The headlight, speedo box, front turn signals, the seat!!  The seat is identical!!

*shrugs*

It looks a lot like a lot of things. All the manufacturers seem to be aping each others styling.

Good catch on the seat - the guage cluster is also an apparent copy/paste.  I think it is safe to say "A sneak peak at what MV’s middleweight Triple might look like" is Cycleworld-ese for "this is what our photoshop monkeys could come up with."

It's pretty hard for me to believe a European (Italian!!) manufacturer would copy paste a Japanese design.  No offense to the Japanese (I live in Japan and love the country), but it's the Japanese who are known for copy-pasting.  But then again, the Gladius did come out more than a year ago  [shrugs]

Or... could it be both manufacturers randomly decided to pick those parts from the same supplier or hire the same subcontractor...   Undecided

It's the same bike  laughingdp

This one has been in the works for years, so they probably sketch it out, but never built it. Suzuki probably thought "their loss" and built it themselves. When the new old owners took over in MV they probably realized they needed something new. And here you go! Something to be said about not rushing stuff into market.

It DOES look like the Gladius.. but the Gladius was... "inspired" by the Brutale... so what came first?  The chicken or the egg?  Wink

If you look really close, the front fender is exact as well - if you ask me it's a Photochopped image.
