Alright, thinking of this as a possible route. Depending on time we can skip River Rd for RT28 and/or the loop up 17 and down 67.

Zooom let me know what you think of this regarding your sis. Everyone else, I'm interested in your opinions as well.

I was thinking more of those leather whips and zippered leather face masks.

Well then, I request you go ahead of me. I'm not sure I want you being behind me, so to speak.

I'd say ATGATT in principle, but it will not be the kind of ride where leathers are required. Ride your own pace, I know mine will be very chill.

Also here is an updated map with the right destination (Morgan Grove park) and modified route to due to the detour on Point of Rocks Rd.

Looks good to me, although my lower back is already hurting by thoughts of time spent in the saddle...   laughingdp

Google maps is fueling my OCD for planning!

I found out where Point of Rocks Rd is closed and I have modified the route accordingly.

Speaking of routes:
  • full route is 76.7 miles; Evil
  • route that goes along MD28 (north of Poolesville) is 72 miles;  [moto]
  • route without Gapland Park (but South of Poolesville) is 68.2 miles; waytogo
  • and route for boring old decrepit people who can't ride is 63.5 miles; coffee

To accomodate small bladders, ehm gas tanks, there are gas stations along the way at Dickerson, Point of Rocks, near Brunswick and Sharpsburg (where we can merrily stop for icecream Grin).
