No MotoGP hasn't gone LOTR!

Anyhow looks like Pedrobot is off to a flying start in FP1, with surprisingly Lameden second fastest, Whorgay, then Stoner!

FP2 was wet, which meant little Pedrobot was going to rust, so he came in early and stayed warm and dry. Stoner topped the timesheets, half second ahead of Whorgay, then Lameden, the Rossi.

So this is how it will play out for the rest of the weekend:

For you east coast dwellers Qualifying is at the astonishing time of 12:00am tonight on OneHD!  Unless you are lucky enough to either subscribe to the live feed or have the iPhone app.  Us central people have it at a more hospitable 10:00pm.

Sunday (18/9) sees the action start at 6:45pm with 125 for you easterners, then it is followed by Moto2.  There is the obligatory break with MotoGP resuming at 9:30.  For us central people all action starts 30 mins earlier.

Oh yeah October is a bumper month for MotoGP as follows:

October 3 - Japan
October 10 - Malaysia
October 17 - Phillip Island  waytogo
October 31 - Portugal

Then the last race of the season, November 7 - Valencia.

Awesome win by Stoner - if he keeps this form next race it looks promising for PI!! Grin

and a nice podium finish by Nicky to really piss off Jorge! Lovely move on the last lap and great to have both Ducs on the podium.

Yeah suck shit Jorge. See his little tanty when he got his bike back in the pits.

I hope Pedrosa stages the title comeback of the century. There are only 56 points in it, and everyone except HRC are running out of engines.

now wouldn't that get whoregay even more pissed off!! Honda are managing their engines well, so the championship certainly isn't out of contention. A hard ask, but Pedrobot may just be able to do something, especially if Stoner is going to be more competitive in the final rounds. Probably need Jorge to bin the bike though...

Yep great race, I was off the couch willing Nicky past WhoHa on that last lap.
I knew he could do it the bike had it over the Yamaha but I think he was just waiting to do when there would be no answer.

yeah Whorgay's little tanty was classic! Will he crack under pressure?  All you need is Stoner to be the fly in the ointment by taking another top podium or too, and Dani to be in the top 3 with Whorgay out of the top 5......

Who bets Whorgay throws it down the road soon?  Not that I wish him to do it, just that it would be interesting to see how he reacts under pressure.  Must be a little giggle for Rossi too! laughingdp

Heh, funny 'bout the Latins how they are so bloody good when everything is hunky dory in their favour but as soon as it goes a little out of shape its "spit the dummy" time!  Huh?

And generally the plot is lost and the general lack of character and fibre starts to show through! Mollycoddled brats most of 'em are!?  Roll Eyes

Been told they are Gods gift to racing and the planet by their mothers and the rest of Spain and their minders since day one, and had it generally served up to them by the Spanish motorcycle training mill, and when the going gets tough they get flakey!  vomit

As a certain OZ "earless" media personality and frequenter of establisnments of "Her Majesty's Pleasure" once said "Get a Big Can Of Harden the Phuk Up!" ya big bloody Girl George!  cheeky
