Crashed Oil Filter

Just remember not to over-torque the filter. I think general consensus is as much as you can do hand tight plus quarter turn. Some people just do hand tight too.

I use a rubber strap wrench for the extra quarter turn.

changed the oil the other day on my 620 the anecdote of hand tight + 1/4 turn extra worked absolutely perfectly with a ducati oem filter.

no leaking after startup and it really only would turn the extra 1/4 turn with the wrench before it literally stopped.

Yeah, I saw a video in youtube and the guy just give a 1/4 turn. Thanks! today im going to install the oil filter and see if there is any leak. Im not worried because If i damaged the mount that holds the filter I can replace  just with another screw.
