Anyone here going to the trackday at MAM on Oct. 10th? I'll be travelling down there and instructing at this super fun track, just wondering if any of you were planning to attend. If so, let's meet up.
Jessica Zalusky, former AMA pro has created an incredible advanced riding school, and trackdays. (some of you will remember her because she used to race for Ducati before Kawasaki and Yamaha) I linked to the website below and a link to an article in Trackday MAg. She is running the best trackdays available. You won't believe the positive energy, dedication, and incredible experience it is until you experience it. We have people travelling from all over to attend the school now and have an amazing staff of very talented riders. This year, we've even had a few ex AMA racers on board.
I don't know who is near MAM, but it would be cool to meet up with some of you. If anyone is planning to attend, let me know.  chug

Funds are limited as i am still unemployed hehe. But MAM is my "home" track. I am about 1.5 hrs east of there in the DSM area.

Was hoping for a final NESBA or Track Addix trackday this season but doubt it is going to happen.

Bummer man...sorry you can't make it. I wish that you could check out one of Jessica's trackdays. Dean puts on a good one with Trackaddix and NESBA is ok but no one is rockin' em like Jessica's. I think we are going back to MAM next year, so hopefully I'll see ya then.

I'm sort of a NESBA junkie after getting Nick and Ken for a skills enhancement weekend...those Yamaha School guys are awful good hehe.

Even though NESBA bailed on the mid-central this season...

We'll be back next season and you should really consider taking our school. The Track School is excellent and the school of R.O.C.C. is on par with other professional superbike schools. The curriculum is amazing, the classroom is truly inspiring, and the instructors are incredible. Send me a pm if you have any questions.

Last weekend was awesome. http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=42356

Oh, and MAM is a lot bumpier than the last time I was there. Especially T4!

I propose that everytime someone goes to mam they brig a bag of cement for their shitty padock.  eventually the whole place will be repaved.  can't wait for them to build their carting/motard track bacon

That was the one thing that truly stood out for me...but then again, most of the car guys don't mind/care and that seems to be their bread and butter.
On the other hand, Motorsports Park hastings out in Hastings, NE is a phenomenal facility and the owner, George, is one of the best track owners/guys I have ever met. He is also an honorary member of Team Alfalfa!  chug

Gabe, There is a pretty good chance that I will be looking for alternatives if NESBA doesn't have any good news for me for next season. One option has been (and seems to be the option most locals have been taking) is swapping the track bike for a dirt bike. At this point I am still holding out hope.

you could do both and just get a set of 17s and a brake kit for your dirt bike.  my yz is a faster better bike than my 620 and handles so much better it makes it feel like a lawn mower.  the 450 can keep up with most sv's no problem[bacon]

My track bike is a GSXR750 with Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes. It tends to be a bit better than my Monster as well heh. My only complaint is the width of the tank. I always feel like i am "riding around the pole" on the Gixxer while on the Monster, I feel way more opened up to the turns.
Just ask the 2 guys on BMW K bikes this year at Ouray that kept wondering how I was keeping up with them in the turns (got ran away from on the straights hehe).
