Nice job on the fender. Looks nice, but looks like it now sits really high above the tire. I was going to attempt this with my fender, but didnt want to mess it up so instead I sourced a nice carbon fiber shift-tech fender. set me back a few bucks, but it looks awesome. They make some excellent quality stuff if anyone is in the market for carbon.

Here is a few shots of the full bike.
There has been a few color changes (no more tangerine) and exhaust swaps since these pics. I can get a current shot tonight.
Too much black.

I think it looks great. You should get a Ti or powdercoat your spring though.
and think about getting some black reflective tape.

Thanks guys.
As far as the height it sits as stock. Could possibly try to lower it but I am cool with it.
As far as "too much black" Never! But, too each is own
- Black reflective tape is a great idea!
Working on some spring ideas. Not the most mechanically advanced, so not sure how to pull the spring. That is what winter is for anyhow.
If you want the fender PM me and we can work out the details

Too much black.
"It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black. '"
I like it.

All right all you reflector haters. Ya happy now.
After removing the reflectors I had noticed it left some hard crusty residue inside the machining grooves on the alum. Ive tried heat, WD, Goobgone, kero, etc. I also tried a soft brass wire brush being careful not to remove the clear coat. That worked but some of the residue is still there. Any ideas?
Brake Clean...All the problems in the world can be solved with brake clean. Works as an Adhesive Remover, Disinfectant, Flame Thrower, Exfoliant, Bug Be Gone and Antibacterial First Aid Spray (just brace yourself for the slight burning sensation when using in cuts...)

Here is a few shots of the full bike.
I have a folder of amazing Ducatis on my computer and it just added one picture. Seriously a nice looking bike.

Hacked fender thread? Guess I'll post
748/916/996/998 fender. Bought it cheap on eBay and it showed up a little more used than I was expecting, didn't like how it looked on the bike either. So I got out the dremel and cut the triangle shapes you see on each side, also chopped off the back a little bit too. I sanded it down and coated it in primer as you can see in the picture. It's currently painted the same color as the bike, just need to do one more coat of clear. I'm happy with it, all the lines are perfectly straight too since I took my time.

^^ Nice job.
You might want to look at the newer style fender as well.

Thanks
Yeah I've seen your bike with the newer style fender on it and considered going the same route, but couldn't find any for cheap on eBay at the time so I just bought an SBK one. I like them both but will probably just end up keeping this one as it's a little different. I'm also planning on copying you with the Hypermotard oil cooler setup. Your bike looks great
