I haven't seen Ducati implement anything cool, to me anyway, from the Monster Challenge yet.  Just my opinion of course.  ;D

Last thing I heard from them, 2yrs ago was they, DNA wanted the local DOC's to run their own.

To be honest Ducati were to steal ideas from the winners from the Ducati Monster Challenges then Ducati would have some of the best looking bikes on the road and nobody would complain that the new models look better and better.

So to those naysayers I say let ducati snatch up some good ideas and make the ducati line better than it can be.

Talk to Duck-Stew.

I've seen some of his ideas implemented in some shape or form on the Monsters.

FTR, they had to be pointed out to me as I don't really have an eye for that sort of thing...

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

It's going to be different than the previous Monster Challenge. Not sure if we are supposed to talk about it yet though?

Will they pull the franchise if you do? [evil]

Will they have 2 classes. One for Monsters and a 2nd for that thing they are selling now?  :D

So you're saying my rebuild wouldn't fly in the Monster challenge?

I've heard things like this before from supposed 'people in the know'...  Can anyone confirm?

And yes, I do believe Ducati borrowed ideas from the contestants to put into production of the bikes, but honestly... For what other purpose could they have put the show on? I doubt it was altruistic....

Ideas, concepts, new model and even names!  But one should consider it a compliment to be honest -- at least I do in my situation and the discussion over the years with folks in Italy.  If you can design/build something so cool that it influences Ducati to do something similiar -- then at least it means they are listening to their owners and what some of us are doing in the aftermarket for customer projects or ourselves.

Hopefully there is a bit of lead time before events dates are held.  DNA is infamous for announcing something with less than 60-90 days lead time -- and thus a lot of enthusiasts don't have their Ducati's finished or last minute rushes are required to make entry.
