I am going to my first Giants game tomorrow at AT&T Park.  Hell its my first MLB game for that matter.  I tried to ask my friends what is the best way to go about parking and no one had an answer really.

Here is what I know.
We are coming from Sacramento
Game starts at 1 PM
We are supposed to meet our friend at the Marina Gate entrance at 10:30 AM
We have a car with GPS
Oh and we are not that familiar with SF

Just wondering what is the best way or any tips/suggestions. Smiley

the giants need to get their $h!t together tomorrow...it'll be a great game to be a part of.

free metered parking tomorrow since it's sunday. you can likely find parking on harrison or bryant between 1st and 4th street if you guys are meeting at 10:30. it's a 5 minute walk to the park from here.

worst case, they have 'cheaper' lots on brannan.

go giants!

better solution than driving/parking in the city:

drive or ride to concord
park car or bike in BART parking lot
get on BART heading to san francisco @ concord station
get off BART @ the montgomery street station
walk down 2nd street directly to at&t park
buy overpriced beer @ at&t park
get hammered watching the giants get their asses kicked
drink more overpriced beer @ at&t park
walk back up 2nd street to montgomery street BART station
take BART back to concord
forget where you parked car or bike  in concord BART parking lot
find nearest bar in concord
drink reasonably priced beer
get picked up by tranny in concord bar
get arrested in concord for lewd and lascivious behavior
call home to get bail posted
find car or bike next morning in BART parking lot
drive or ride back home to sacratomato
try to forget it all happened
waytogo

OK, so you can do what John recommends or you can park in the empty lot next to my office building.  It's totally sketch--and when I say that I mean take everything out of your friggen car and put up signs in the windows stating that there is no money in the car and to not break the windows.  I'm dead serious.  They're just tweakers looking for dope money so don't freak.  Anyways, the lot is at 5th and Harrison at 880 Harrison.  It's the lot between AllStar Donuts and the purple and beige building.  Park there and walk.  It's several blocks, but it's an easy walk and it's free.  Don't forget the signs, mang.  Have fun at the game.   chug

As far as I can tell, they're not illiterate at all.  They almost exclusively suffer from mental issues, and a lot those revolve around substance-abuse.

Thanks for the tips.  We got there before 10.  ALL street parking was taken and all the lots were $30.  Even the ones that were supposed to be $10.  So we just parked closer to the park and sucked up paying $30.  The game was awesome.
