I actually... kinda... like it.  Huh?

+1 to everything Stew said. Reaction here seems terribly familiar to everything said about the new monster and the streetfighter. Now we all like them.

It's ok, jealousy is a normal reaction when someone has something better than you.  Grin

To be honest, if I could re-design the new monster I would give it a real tank, and old style headlight.

My tank panels fit well but if you press and try to it's easy to make them move/squeak. Sort of "cheap" feeling

A cruiser? Really? Look at the riding position on that thing. This POS seems to be designed specifically for the "let's parade to the cafe/tavern and back" crowd. It looks built for short distances and straight lines. I can't doing any serious touring with it and it has all of Ducati's power and none of the handling (I presume judging by the long wheel base and heavy weight).

No sir, I don't like it.

sac

yup a cruiser. high weight, low seat height, not too maneuverable. what else would it be. diving to cafe/tavern and back is generally what cruiser owners do, they dont go tearin thru the back roads at twice the speed limit. ducati is entering the cruiser market and i guess this is the italian interpretation of it.

Jesus Christ, it's like a V-Rod hate-make the beast with two backsed a Streetfighter and this is the bastard child that resulted.

I'd like to see one up close.

I like to see Ducati branching out and trying new things.

I'd like to see a 250ish powered scooter Evil

Maybe you've missed some of the new "cruiser" bikes out there but many of them are very maneuverable, more so than you might think.  No point in starting a debate over what's what because everyone here has a different interpretation but it's suffice to say that many of my riding buddies regularly log 20,000 miles a year and NOT commutting either.

I would like cleaner lines but I'll have to wait and see it in person but that exhaust is aweful, no way around that.

Yeah, really. I make the beast with two backsing hate it.

The SF might be bad ass, but I can't and will not ever get wrapped around a naked bike with all that plumbing hanging out.  Sad

very little compares to the Monster.  I have both a cruiser for bar hopin (NOT) and a Monster each for a specific use.
