Amazing how much the R1 sounds like the D16

Not sure why the Sedici and the R1 sound alike...

R1  -  180-90-180-270 or 1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-
D16 -  90-200-90-340  or 1-1-0-1-1-0-0-0-

Or do I have the info wrong?

Hmm...that recording sounded pretty accurate to me.  And yes, the R1 and D16 sounded similar.

Ducati on a race track have always had a unique sound. Even back in the '60s you could tell when there was a Ducati single in the pack.   waytogo

Well, it's much raspier in person. Also, riding one without ear plugs makes your ears feel like they are bleeding. waytogo

Very true, the D16 is MUCH raspier.  And also must agree with the volume.  I rode behind one a while ago and couldn't even hear my own full arrow exhaust...lol.
