The only were only two that I didn't really like.  The inline 3 and the inline 4.  boo

The triple does nothing for me. Not the tone, nor the whirring.

The D16 in this recording does not sound like the D16s in our shop.

Likewise, the 1*98 sounded a lil' too mellow, not what i'm accustomed to hearing from these bikes. Should have used an air-cooled one I 'spose.

Should have thrown an RC51 sound byte in there as well. The CBR1000RR 4cyl sounded like a track/race bike, so I didn't mind its sound, just not what I like hearing coming from the bike I'm on.

I liked the 1198 the best.

I also liked how you could hear people laughing in the background - like holy sh!t that sounds good.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

yeah, the triple sounds like an electric lawnmower.

i love the idea of the engine but ... meh.. maybe it's the intake and exhaust sound tuning.. i know those airboxes have resonators on them...

Could the similar sounds between the crossplane I4 and the D16 be due to the similar big bang firing order?  Just my guess after some googling.
