Holy smokes, this thing is beautiful:

Anyone know who this bike belongs to?

...and does anyone know what that instrument pod cover (black) is?

I'm pretty sure this bike was posted up here last year.  I think it was a 1-off on Ducati Island.  I think they put in a 1098 engine or something completely different.  The other side you can see the dry clutch, and I think a SSS.

I knew I could find it...

I'm not sure about the rules on this, but there is a huge thread on that other site.  Mods, if I can't link it from here, just delete the link.

Not much 696 left in that bike  laughingdp.   It is a thing of beauty though.

Is that a 696 headlight and would it be easily modded to the S4RS?

The guy that built it was posting on here.  If I remember right he made a home account and work account.  Then got accused of promoting his business without paying minor sponsorship. He got offended and said fine I just won't post here. :/

Definitely looks like a 696 headlight; can't imagine it'd be too difficult to retrofit it onto S4RS.. wiring might be different, though?

That would be awesome!  Brian's pod cover would be the perfect replacement for the stock bikini fairing

Thanks

Thanks all - you guys are right on - it was Brian's display bike on Ducati Island.. from what I can gather, it has a 1098 SSS and definitely no longer has the innards of a 696

I'd like to model my bike after his, in bits and pieces of course - really tempted to get clip-ons now Smiley

Brian's a great guy, and I'm sure if your anywhere close to New Jersey he would be very happy to talk with you about what he did.

Here's a shot from the other side:

He is working on another very cool, very custom Duc at the moment, but I'm sworn to secrecy and can't share pics/info.

You're the man, thanks bro...on the downside, I saw some pictures of it and it seems like it'd need quite a bit of modification to get it to fit a 696 instrument pod Sad
