Just had the 14t made by Driven installed and put 1200 miles on it this past week. With the stock chain you want the 525. The packaging reads "1067-525-14T Front Ducati M 600".

It's a whole different bike now and I would say the 14t is a must do mod for the monster. The acceleration is much quicker, and shudder is eliminated, plus you can actually use 6th gear. I didn't expect to lose as much off the top end (roughly 8-10mph), but it sure is nice to be able to get to that top end quickly and with ease. I was told by the dealer the 796s are running extremely lean from the factory and the ECU upgrade / termi is also a must do mod to get the most out of the bike. The charcoal filter eliminate/shroud is also shipping now for the 796 and it runs about $25.

According to the owner's manual it is a 525 chain.
