Yes those goats will stand there and sleep. They do the same thing high up in the mountains so that they can rest without worry of predators. Now they will be screwed if the eagles start getting bigger.

We used to own goats and goats do shit like that just to do shit like that.
You'd never know where you'd find them next.
Goat: Hey I got an idea, lets walk out on this cliff (dam) just for the hell of it.
Rest of the Goats: yeah yeah oh good idea let's do that.
Then they all walk around till they get bored.
Seriously.
Goats are just a funny animal, kinda like autistic kids, you're never sure what they'll do next or
what might attract their attention.

I wish I could find this one vid I saw where eagles would pick up mountain goats and throw them off a cliff as a method of hunting. It was insane.
