I replaced the lens and globe on mine and didn't have to "remove cluster etc etc." 

Simple job really from memory. But I was advised to take a photo of the wire brace arrangement that holds the reflector in place to make it easier to put back together.

Well you could go the long way round like i did and crash into some one,  smash the head light and get it replaced buy insurance. LOL Roll Eyes Angry Angry


Oh buy the way don't expect this method to be quick. 5 weeks and waiting  boo

Also you don't have to buy the whole headlight assembly.  You can buy just the lens (but not from Ducati).

I purchased a new lense from BMW. It's the same lens as is in all of the R80 etc. It cost about $95. I'll look up the part number if your interested
