2009 M1100S

The local Duc dealer has some 2009 M1100S models on the floor. Any suggestions on what kind of discount I should be looking at versus a 2011 model?

if you planned on buying new anyways... the "S" package for free sounds good. (same price as base 2011 m1100)

That's what I paid for my S. You could probably do a little better now.

Yeah I'd have to trade my 2006 S2R-1000. Not sure what I could get for it, I suppose it would depend on if I want to hassle with taking all the good bits off (see sig) and sell them seperately, but I'm sure I could get at least $6,000 for it.

I think the S2R 1000 is the best looking 2 valver ever made. I'd hot it up ala Travman and keep it. They are worth a fortune here in Oz. I have seen them cost more than an S4R.

Hmm yeah - just looked up the KBB trade in, and it is only $4,300 so I would definitely be pulling some after-market pieces and selling them seperate. That's down the road though, not even sure I'll go through with this and it also depends on my bonus this year.
I also want a track bike, so may just keep this and look for an SV650 or something similar

Yeah I know it's a good looking bike, but I'm starting to want a little more power and the Ohlins would be real nice as well. If I start upgrading I"ll be looking at the same cost as a new bike anyway. What started me looking at the new Monsters was this bike on the Desmoporsche website. That is the first one of the new models that I have seen that I really like. The low exhaust really cleans up the lines on the bike.

had one of those for awhile. thought the look was neat for awhile, then it wore off, all my buddies joked with me it sounded/looked like a buell now, and eventually i sold that system for more traditional pipes.
Makes the bikes look MUCH slimmer.
