hi,

i just received my bar end mirrors, i tried to turn the allen screws that are in the stock bar-ends on the bike (i think they're stock), but A) they're very difficult to turn, B) are they supposed to draw them out as you turn it?

basically, how do i remove the stock bar-ends that are in there?

Hold bar ends, turn allen bolt, pull - basically.

Didn't that work?

i dunno... i'm going to give it a try when i get home...

i only turned the allen screw, i didn't try the pulling part yet as i wasn't ready to remove them at the time.  do i pull the allen bolt all the way out, before pulling?

Normally you'd only have to turn the allen bolt a little (+/- one turn) for it to be loose enough.
I'm suggesting holding the bar ends to make sure they don't spin.

On my bike all the parts are metal, so I suppose they could get stuck. Try harder and/or lubricate?

Good luck waytogo

thanks for the info... the first time i tried to see how they'd come out, the screw was oxidized to the aluminum bar end piece a bit so the whole thing spun.  this time i just gave it hell and the screw broke free from the bar end, once that was out, i just used a screw driver and hammer to tap the aluminum piece out of the handle bar.

thanks for the info Smiley

ebay bar end mirrors are in and just like the reviewer on here said, no vibration, good fit and finish Smiley

If there is no allen bolt holding them in, just pull them out.
