So I had my bike get vandalized and now my insurance is paying to get a bunch of new mods I was planing on doing. I have been looking around at license plate relocation and sawsome that I liked that were mounted near the shock. Any one done this and have some info for me on how to do this?

Thanks

Yes.  Used one of the bolts for the plastic panel underneath the seat for the upper left hole of the license plate.  The right hole was just drilled through the under panel.  That is all I used and it has not come loose.  I just bent the license plate a little bit towards the bottom for better visibility from behind.  Apparently it is ok with the cops, as I was stopped ~ 2 months ago and the cops (TX) never mentioned anything about it to me.

What a great and easy mod made even better by doing it yourself.  It really cleans things up.  I mounted mine under my seat.  I attached a "square" rod to the tabs that once held the side panels and mounted the plate to it.  I did it about 5 years ago and I've only gotten pulled over once because it had bent up a little to much.  I bent it back down and he let me go.  I really think he just wanted to check out my bike.
