I installed the barracuda motors headlight on my 696 and now I have nowhere to attach my instrument panel. http://barracudamoto.it/DettaglioProdotto.aspx?IDP=1132&CAT=52

It looks sweet, but I have no idea how to reattach it. I am thinking tube fork clamps with some additional pieces of metal holding the panel in place.

Has anyone does a similar mod, know anyone with parts to attach, etc...

make a small angled plate that attaches to the two bolts under the top triple and to the back of the gauge pod with the four star screws.

steel or thick aluminum. thin aluminum will vibrate too much...

you'll have to use the plain headlight cover instead of the bikini fairing unless you put a lot more work into the plate

Thanks raux. I saw some good pics from your mod, and another.

What did you do for your kickstand mod?

I need to post my pics once I'm finished...

Below is a "short: list of the major mods:

80's tanks skins
CF clutch cover
CF mud gaurd
Short Tail (custom)
barracuda headlight
barracuda windscreen
barracuda engine spoiler
no rear seat cover
no front fender
pazzo levers with red switches
black driven gel grips with red ends
speedy moto rear sliders
red teflon front fork sliders

I'm going to try to put up the pics tomorrow night. It's got a funky look, I can describe it best as a retro streetfighter.

Thanks for the help and support...

Aweosme!  I've been eyeing those headlights...  please post pics!!!

Was the install pretty easy?

This might be a good chance to mount the instrument gauges a little lower, too, if you don't want it sticking up so far.
