2011 M1100 has some changes that I heard of from Ducati. Good Stuff

Had a 2010 M1100 ABS that was a lemon that is being replaced by Ducati as we speak. At one point they could not find me a black framed bike with ABS and when we discussed a 2011 this is what Ducati told me. The 2011 M1100 will not be out for another 6 months minimum. It will have the following changes: standard ABS (like this), traction control (I want this), two into one exhaust on the bottom like the street fighter (like the current look but sucks for the passenger having two), and cosmetic changes (hmmmmmm). It looks like we are going to have a new M1100 coming shortly. Just wanted to pass the info along straight from Ducati's lips to your ears.

2010 M1100 ABS with the sport100 tank kit or black on black. Ducati - Termignoni carbon fiber exhaust, ECU, High Efficiency air filter, bitubo steering stabilizer, Oberon levers, AEM quick exchange rear, and tons of other tweaks.
Chicks dig me because I rarely wear underwear and when I do, it’s usually something unusual!

Hmmmmm..…
I heard Ducati is building a hypermotard.
The traction control sounds cool.

ABS and traction control would be sweet. Maybe I'll have to wait a bit longer for a new bike [moto]

ABS, Traction Control AND new exhaust? This might be the new bike.

Ducati specifically told me it was a revised or new 2011 Monster 1100 (this was coming from their head of NA sales). In my situation at the time I could wait for that and they said minimum 6 months but more like 8 for the bike to hit the states or get my money back. The found the last 2010 black framed new Monster this Monday and went with that. Basically, they are revising the current 1100 monster module with those features and a new look. Ducati made it sound that this is not a new bike or a revision of anything other then then the Monster 1100. As far as I got. Info for us all to consume that is not on the street yet.

Definitely sounds possible. ABS is already offered as an option, so no big deal there, and making it standard should significantly lower pricing. Traction control is already offered on some of their other models, so again it should not be that big a deal to offer it. I'm not a big fan of the current exhaust so any change would probably be better for me.

I more wonder what the cosmetic changes are. Not a huge fan of the light. Had and will have the ABS and it works great. Just the confidence it puts in your head is worth the price. I believe they have a promotion for all 896s to include free ABS now. Sounds like they are just taking that option off all Monsters and spliting the difference of the additional Marginal Cost with the consumer; have to love economics. Traction control would be nice in the rain especially with all the torque Monsters have. I kind of like the current dual exhaust. Not sure what it is but thinking about it I look like this [moto].

Just have multiple oil leaks, 8 service times in 3 months, and a valve seizure and they will give you the stepladder option to a 2011, hahaha.
