where is this info coming from? links?
I can see the Evo Motor from the HM 1100 Evo happening...
and the ABS standard had been mentioned...
And I knew they were getting the 796 subframe...
and there is even a rumor of dropping the S
but the new exhausts? that's totally new info.

No idea where the OP got his info, but I confirmed it through someone that was at the Vegas meeting a few weeks ago.

Confirmed! New engine, new exhaust and ABS standard!! 100 HP!!!
Can you confirm is there will or will not be an S with Ohlins? If so, then Ducati may have just sold me a bike in a years time [moto]

No, as I said no S per se, ABS is standard, but no Ohlins. - Gene

Well more power and ABS are the main things, I can always upgrade suspension later.
Thanks

It's still going to be adjustable just not Ohlins.

well it makes sense that they are doing this, since it sounds like the 1100 isn't selling that well comparatively. they have to almost give the abs away now that its becoming so prevelant on many bikes and the traction control if they do that it would actually give them an additional feature that not every naked has so that would be a plus to buy it.
the motor is a push, they basically have to do the evo to make things more cross compatable btwn the hyper and the 1100 only question is why it took so long to do it.
now a new exhaust that will be a wait and see, it could be cool if done correctly and such, but not sure how they are going to put the cat down at the bottom without it looking horrible since its a naked bike there is no way to "hide" the larger cat underneath the bike except for doing something like they did on the s2r versions
well if they are going to improve the 1100 by this much and make it still under 15k fo rthe base model i might have to consider it next year, either that or the current brutale.
then again the whole plastic tank deformation is really offputting of the ducatis now.

Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but are you saying there will be no S model at all, or that there will still be an S model with fully adjustable suspension, just not Ohlins?

The new bikes with the "skins" don't have a plastic tank problem, correct?

one person has said they had a problem with the seal where the fuel pump is. but I suspect that is from heat buildup from the midpipe.. and a one off problem. no one else here or the other board, that i've read, has the issue.
but someone has mentioned the new tanks are a different material and shouldn't have the issue.

All new Monsters come with plastic tanks. They all have the expanding tank issue.

696/796/1100 included? Aside from the guy on this board with the warped tank unrelated to the expanding issue I have never heard of a new monster having an expanding tank issue.

Give it enough time. Even the SBK's have the issue. I think you don't see it because of the plastic panels. Dizz is the resident expert.
