Hey, all.

Subject liine says it all..  I have a 07 S4Rs and am unsure if my bike's rear ride height is set at stock, higher, lower, etc.  When I looked in the manual it giives instructions to measure from the bottom of the rear fender, but with my tail chop that method is out.

Can you tell by the amount of threading that shows?  Other ideas?

Thanks, folks.

The rear fender measuring point is equal to the flattest/lowest part of the seat (yes?)
There are also measurements for both pair of foot pegs, but it's hard to say exactly where to measure.

FWIW, my S2R had zero/one thread showing on the height adjuster.
Static sag has to be correct for any measurement to be valid.

From the online version of the manual:

"The length of the tie-rod (2) between the centres of
the two eyes (1) should not exceed 272 mm."

"The maximum distance that the UNIBALL end fitting (A)
can be unscrewed from the tie-rod body is 5 threads, or
7.5 mm (B)."

I remember there was some talk of this 272 mm being incorrect. Not saying that it is, but just a heads up.......

Off-board update.....

As delivered 273 mm, eye to eye. Can be shortened one turn of the adjuster rod (1.5 mm x 2)(= 3 mm as in 6 mm ride height)

From there up - 5 threads on each end = 7.5 mm x 2
15 mm which results in a 30 mm ride height increase. (measured at the seat, I think)
