A baffle slows exhaust gasses by reducing pipe diameter and obstructing flow. This thread will give you a visual idea of how a baffle functions. http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30927.0You could fabricate one using an exhaust tip and mount it on or inside the udder. You could probably even modify the termi baffle to work with the udder.

They do. Most of the aftermarket exhaust, with their baffles in are pretty quiet.

Are you suggesting he affix firearm suppressors to his exhaust? The cost + federal license fee + wait time for license approval might be annoying.

I suppose my humor was lost in the internets. Good comparison though.

im going to pick up some steel pipes and try something. maybe get an dB software and mess around. id like it to be 75% close to stock level of loudness. I really really hate loud bikes. not sure why.

The udder acts as a resonator as well plus the exits are angled up. Sound is omnidirectional, at least not the intensity. Try redirecting the udder first and see what you think.
I bet if the udder exited rearward it would be better

put the stock exhaust back on or get an aftermarket one with baffles made, simple... or just get used to the stock ones. its an acquired taste
