I'll need a fork rebuild sooner rather than later.  While I have the thing apart, I'm considering anondizing the forks either black or gold.  What say ye?

just a different thought, but what about getting them to match the frame with black triples.

I like that idea too...  I wonder how hard it would be to match.

If you could find a match, that would be best.  If the gold isn't exact it will just look off, black is probably safer.
Every bike I've ever owned.

anodizing to match anything is nearly impossible. I would powdercoat the triples to match the frame and black anodize (or vinyl wrap) the fork tubes.

much more predictable results with black. if you do go gold it WILL NOT MATCH ANY OF YOUR OTHER GOLD, I guarantee it.

Black, but then the headlight bracket needs to be black, and.................... ;)

But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Hard-ano the forks black or black vinyl wrap them.  Black powder coat the fork ends and headlight bracket and powdercoat the triples to match the frame.

funny you'd post this bike.  I just got the bike repainted, and I thought about doing a flat black 80's logo against the gloss black tank, mostly because I liked the way it looked on your bike.  I wound up going with the aluminum badges mostly because I already had them, but I would have been just as happy with your tank...

With the issues matching teh anondizing, I'd prob just go with black, because tehy both look good anyway, and black is safer, though I'm probably going to do the vinyl wrap first just to see if I will like it...

Actually, both are customer bikes, but glad they could help.  :)
