Dress in black/camo/ghillie suit. Wait in the yard at night with your most deadly shovel. When close enough, smash the bastard into a pancake.

Total cost, $410-430 depending on cost of shovel. Totally worth it though.

A pellet gun isn't gonna kill an armadillo.  Its common to empty a ten round mag on a .22 on one and still have it jumping around. A good kill shot can be iffy because of their armor. My .17HMR does a good job on them with perfect shot placement but only with poly-tipped rounds, not hollow points. They are tough little make the beast with two backsers. A 30-06 works very well but some will say a bit excessive.

They can run very fast and are almost completely blind. Grab a twelve pack and go chase it.  These make the beast with two backsers will run full speed right into a tree trunk or fence post or whatever. Good times.  Whatever you do don't try to kick them, they weigh three times as much as you think.
